Show Schedule                                       Biography
John E. Toner is known for his Tom Horn style cowboy hat, some friends have never seen him without the hat, his joke and story telling ability and the beautiful knives he makes.

John began making knives as a hobby in 1989.  Soon friends were asking him to make one for them or as a gift for someone else.  Before long, the hobby became full time work.

Most of John's works now attract collectors from all over the world.  This work includes Stainless Damascus and ATS34 High Carbon Stainless Steel blades.  The handles range from simple elk antler to high quality gemstone and ivory.

He also makes a lot of knives for hunters and fishermen.  His personal designs are the Ultimate Skinner, which is a 2 way blade used for gutting and skinning and a 2 piece pack set, also for hunters.

His steak knife sets are unique and can be ordered with the quantity of knives you want and carving pieces to match.  They come with a unique burl wood holder to display the knives.

John will be happy to discuss personal designs with you and create a unique design for you.

John is a member of the Knife makers' Guild.

John is a founding member and board of director member of the Arizona Elk Society.  He also is a life member of Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and a member of Safari Club International, Delta Waterfowl, National Wild Turkey Federation and California Deer Association.  He supports all the wildlife organizations by donating knives for their fundraisers each year.

He also works many hours each year on Wildlife projects and events for children that these organizations support.

He loves his work and when he is not in his shop working, his mind is busy creating a new design.

Be sure to look at our show schedule to see if we will be in your area so that you can meet John and see the quality of his knives for yourself.
